Adams Oshiomhole returned back to the saddle at the helm of the All Progressives Congress, APC on Monday evening after the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja granted his prayer for a stay of execution on the court order suspending him from the office.

An Abuja High Court had penultimate week granted an order suspending him from office upon his suspension from the party by his ward in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

Execution of that order was put on hold by the Court of Appeal on Monday after some initial mix-up about the court sitting.

The court of appeal order came as the governors of the during consultations with the president resolved to postpone the National Executive Committee, NEC meeting scheduled for Tuesday.

Earlier before the court of appeal order, the acting national secretary of the party, Mr. Victor Giadom in a chat with journalists said the leadership of the party had fallen in line with the resolution of the governors with the president to defer the NEC meeting.

He disclaimed social media reports that the meeting would still go on irrespective of the decision of the governors and the president.

“That is the product of mischief-makers; that did not come from me. Everybody has to respect the intervention of the President.”
