Presentation Of Lagos Explosion Pictures To Buhari Stirs Social Media Storm
Civil rights activist, Aisha Yusuf has come under blistering attack on social media after she blasted Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for taking pictures of the Lagos pipeline explosion to show to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Yusuf, a founder of the Bring Back Our Girls advocacy had fired that it was abnormal for the victim to be taking pictures of his incident to go and show the president.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and some other commentators had also quipped that the president should have visited the scene of the incident to offer encouragement to the victims.
Ms. Yusuf in her comment on her twitter handle had said:
However, her comment received sharp responses from some twitter users. Many of the responses were abusive suggestive of insinuations that it may have come from some political interest groups not at ease with Ms. Yusufās political positions.
There were, however, many encouraging tweets in support for Yusuf.
