The Enugu State Ministry of Health has announced the discharge of two COVID-19 patients following their treatment at the state’s Isolation Centre.

The two are the three-year-old and 13-year old contacts of the third case in Enugu State, the indigene of Bauchi State with a positive travel history to and from Jos, Plateau State.

The state commissioner for health, Prof. Obi Emmanuel Ikechukwu in a statement made available to GreenWhiteGreen appreciated what he described as the positive support and commitment of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi which he said has helped the medical team to yield good results.

He called on the citizenry to sustain injunctions from the authorities.

“The good people of Enugu State are still encouraged to continue to comply with the directives of the Federal Government, the Enugu State Government on containment of the spread of COVID-19 as well as the precautionary measures in the public health advisory of the Federal Ministry of Health, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), and the Enugu State Ministry of Health.”
