Hope As Lagos Share Of COVID-19 New Cases Falls

There was some moment of respite for Lagos on Thursday as the state produced 102 out of the 350 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the country.
It was about the lowest figure reported by the state in recent times. The decreased proportion in Lagos came with proportionate increase in some other states which had apparently followed Lagos State by ramping up tests.
The 350 new cases recorded in the country were from 19 States and the FCT.
The 102 cases recorded in Lagos represented 29% of the total cases reported on Thursday. It was significantly below the 59% recorded on Tuesday and 64% of cases on Wednesday.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, the cases in the country were reported thus:
Lagos, however, continues to lead by far in the total number of cases reported across the country with a total of 5,542 cases out of the 11,516 cases so far reported in the country representing 48% of the total cases reported so far.
