The rebellion by the leadership of the Adams Oshiomhole led tendency in the just dissolved National Working Committee, NWC of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has fizzled out.

The factional former National Chairman of the party, Hilliard Eta and the factional national secretary, Arc. Waziri Bulama in a joint statement pledged to keep the peace and call off all further agitations to the dissolution of the NWC.

In the statement, they further disclosed that they had already commenced interactions with the caretaker committee as inaugurated by the National Executive Committee, NEC last Thursday.

While paying heed to President Muhammadu Buhari, the group said:
“We appreciate the intervention of our revered leader, President Muhammadu Buhari which must have been difficult for him but indeed the action of a true statesman.

“We reaffirm our unalloyed loyalty to our great Party and accept the authority of our father and preeminent leader, President Muhammadu Buhari
“We have already began engaging the Caretaker Committee led by His Excellency Mai Mala Bun and assure all that we well not contest their authority but work selflessly with the team in its peace and consensus building efforts within our great party.”

The gestures by the team follows their earlier vow to study the intervention of the NEC with a view towards seeking judicial redress.

Earlier on Sunday, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, two leading party members that had been associated with the group in separate assertions pledged their allegiance to the decisions taken by the president on the dissolution of the NWC.
