I Am Doing Well, Trump Says As He Enters Hospital

Published

US President Donald Trump on Friday said he was doing well just before he was transported by helicopter to hospital for his COVID-19 case to be managed under better supervision.

The White House insisted that the decision to relocate the president to the elite Walter Reed National Military Medical Center was taken “out of an abundance of caution”.

It also emerged that the president had started exhibiting some symptoms while in isolation inside the White House.

Shortly after 11.00 p.m. Nigerian time, the president wearing a face mask boarded Marine One, for the short journey to the nearby hospital.

He was not accompanied by his wife, Melanie. The president looked dour and was not his usual self as he walked towards the helicopter.

Before he left he recorded an 18 second video where he assured that he was doing well and reported that he was going to Walter Reed Hospital, where he is expected to lodge in a presidential suite where he is expected to work from.

Meanwhile, his Democratic Party, rival, Joe Biden has said that he would continue with his campaign but has scaled down negative attacks on the president.

GWG also gathered that the Democratic candidate has also pulled down his negative television commercials.
