Some #EndSARS protesters have showered praises on a divisional police officer (DPO) of Anthony police station in Lagos state, Patricia Amadin, for her “encouragement and support” during the protest.

Earlier it was reported that a police officer had earlier joined the protest while expressing his anger against the now disbanded SARS.

GWG had earlier reported that the Inspector-general of police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, had announced the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) on Sunday following the nationwide outrage.

After the disbandment of SARS by the IGP, photos and video clips of Ms Amadin calmly talking to the protesters in Lagos surfaced.

One of the footages showed Amadin telling the protesters that she and her team could “escort” them as they continued their protest and in another clip, she assured the protesters that her team will not disallow them their right to protest.

This action endeared her the respect of some Nigerians as some youths took to the micro-blogging platform to applaud her “heroics”.

Another user recounted how the DPO assisted her after her colleagues arrested him for going about with a power bike after the ban of motorcycles by the state government.

“During the bike ban, trigger happy policemen held me at Maryland and insisted that the ban covers power bikes. She was the one that let me go. beautiful soul, we gisted for a bit. She’s doing her second masters as we speak, Better woman!!!!,” the user wrote.

Below are what some social media users had to say about her:
