Nigeria’s Super Eagles clash with Sierra Leone on Friday in the first of their African Cup of Nations qualification double-header.

As giants of African football, Nigeria is expected to claim maximum points in both matches.

There is an array of stars in the present Super Eagles setup. Moreover, there are players who can give the Sierra Leoneans a tasking time.

Victor Osimhen: Apart from goalscoring, he knows how to carve out opportunities for his fellow teammates, which is an added bonus for the Napoli hitman.

He has garnered three goals and two assists in the qualifying rounds so far. His goal in Napoli’s last match against Genoa in the Serie A separated the sides. From the aforementioned, he is a major concern for Sierra Leone’s defense.

Alex Iwobi: Jay- Jay Okocha’s nephew has been an indispensable player for Gernot Rohr’s outfit. Absolutely brilliant in distributing the ball over the pitch. He relishes the role of a playmaker in the team. Alex Owobi is a specialist in creating chances for the target man. Having struggled to cement a place in Everton’s starting lineup for a while now, this is a chance to show Carlo Ancelotti the stuff he is made of.

Samuel Chukwueze: Chukwueze finally hit the target for the first time in twelve months for Villarreal in the La Liga. This is an impetus for him to have an eye for goal when Nigeria battle against Sierra Leone. In conjunction with his acceleration, dribbling and tenacity, goals should be produced from him.
