How Nigerians Snubbed Atiku’s Marketing Of PDP
By Emmanuel Adigwe
A move by former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar to clean up the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the party to beat in the 2023 election has hit the rocks on social media as many social media users were quick to spurn his plea.
They pointed out to him that both the PDP and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have not done well and share no differences in their conduct and content.
The umbrage against the PDP started when the Waziri Adamawa took to his official Twitter account, @atiku on Monday saying that the PDP has a lot to offer Nigerians.
He wrote: “The Peoples Democratic Party is the best friend Nigeria could have. All geopolitical zones deserve a political party that believes in Nigeria and not a party that believes otherwise.
“@OfficialPDPNig has much to offer all parts of Nigeria, and I urge all Nigerians in all zones to keep faith with a party that has kept faith with Nigeria and will be equitable to all.”
Many social media users did not agree with the former vice-president as they took to their accounts to denounce his claim saying that both the PDP and the APC have failed Nigerians and it is time a third force emerges to clean the Augean filth.
