The Police in Lagos have apprehended 18 persons including some lovers for violating the state’s COVID-19 protocol at the popular relaxation point, Romeo and Juliet Club.

Lagos State commissioner of police, CP Hakeem Odumosu in a statement warned that the same action would be meted to all others who violate the COVID-19 protocol.

He thus directed that all social engagements fixed at clubs before the new COVID-19 protocol should be shelved in the interest of the state.

He said: “In continuation of enforcing the Covid-19 protocols, which among other restrictions placed a total and immediate ban on clubbing, police operatives attached to Ejigbo division , at about 11.30pm on Tuesday, arrested 18 suspects at Romeo and Juliet Club at NNPC junction, Ejigbo.

The suspects s will be charged to court immediately”.

The police boss also warned against the use of the same face mask by an individual saying that commercial bus drivers had been found to be so doing.
