Babymama Or Wife? Davido Puzzles Over Chioma

The term baby mama which of recent has become a popular slang in Nigeria is used to describe a mother who is not married to her child’s father. It is upon that, that Miss Chioma Rowland will now be more determined to know her status as a babymama or wife in the harem of music star Davido.

That is apart from her, Davido has babies from three other ladies and a fifth lady is reportedly on the way into Davido’s harem.

There is Sophia Momodu and also Amanda, based in Atlanta who is Davido‘s second baby mama. They have a daughter; Hailey Adeleke.

There is also Ayotomide Labinjo, who had a daughter,  Mitchell Anu Adeleke for the music crooner.

Another lady, Larissa Lorenco is allegedly expecting a child with Davido and this will be his fifth child.

Therefore, when David was spotted with  an American Instagram model Mya Yafai vacationing in Sint Maarten, a country in the Caribbean, it may have sent further shock waves down the spine of Chioma.

That is because Davido and Chioma held a family introduction in September 2019 but the marriage plans could not go on to fruition because of what Davido explained as the COVID-19 lockdown.

‘‘Honestly, Coronavirus messed plans up because it was meant to be in July. I have decided it will be some time next year. For now, I want her to work on her business while I work on my album and the kids. I want everything to balance first.”

“I have known Chioma for about seven years. We have been dating for about five years. Lati introduced me to Chioma. We went to the same school, Babcock University. We started as friends but I got so used to her and she got so used to me as well. She is a great cook as well.”

At a time, the relationship of the two was the talk of the town.

Davido took Chioma on shopping sprees in different countries and threw her a lavish birthday bash in which he gifted her with a Porsche car worth N45m.

Chioma later got pregnant and gave birth to a bouncing baby boy, making Davido not just a proud father but also giving him a David jr. as well. It was easily believed that Chioma would easily transit from babymama to wife; that is until now.

For Chioma who is said to have come from a deeply religious family, the suspense from Davido is bound to put her in an unwelcome suspense as to her status. Has she joined the league of Davido’s babymamas, sentenced to the status of the neglected wife?
