A Pastor May Lead People To Salvation, Miss Heaven
And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye SHALL NOT BRING this congregation into the land which I HAVE GIVEN THEM. Numbers 20:12.
Moses and Aaron were undoubtedly two of the greatest servants of God who passed through the earth.
Moses’ place in glory has been repeatedly noted in scripture.
However, this passage figuratively suggests to us the prospect of a leader today falling short of the Promised Land (Heaven) while those he is leading go in there.
A pastor, preacher or priest may take his congregation to the border by preaching salvation and not enter.in himself or herself.
God’s promise was to the congregation and not to leaders or individuals.
Just as God promised the congregation in the wilderness to BRING them into the PROMISED LAND, He has also promised today’s congregation as symbolised by the Church to take us to the PROMISED LAND which is Heaven. John 14:3.
May God help us all in the congregation, the pulpit and the pew, to abide within the congregation as we march triumphantly under the banner of the Holy Spirit to glory.
Beloved, let none take himself out of the congregation through sin. May God help us all.
Good Day
