He Dwells To Change Your Personality
That Christ may DWELL in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love. Ephesians 3:17.
Paul goes further to express God’s desire for the man who accepts the inner strength that flows from the Holy Spirit; it is that God in the person of Christ would be seen to be DWELLING in the person.
To dwell in this context is to take permanent residence.
If you allow God’s Holy Spirit to take over your inner man, the result will be that Christ, who is the incarnation of God would take up permanent residence in your life.
Jesus speaking to His close aides was reported in John 14:23 to have said “If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our ABODE with him.”
That’s God’s purpose. To dwell in our hearts and redefine the personality we have.
He so much dwelt in the hearts of a group of believers in Antioch at that time that they were called after Christ, i.e; Christians. Acts 11:26.
Beloved, today as with the brethren in Antioch many, many years ago, Jesus is knocking and asking to come in to DWELL in your heart.
If you do, people around you would genuinely call you a Christian as they did to the brethren in Antioch.
You can get more understanding of this at a gathering of God’s people somewhere near you today.
