Breaking: How Bandits Kidnapped 40 From Katsina Mosque

No fewer than 40 worshippers have been reportedly abducted by unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits in a mosque in Kwata, Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.

According to an eyewitness, the assailants attacked the mosque during the Laylatul Qadr prayer in the early hours of Monday.

Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree or Night of Power, is one of the most sacred nights in the Islamic calendar.

It takes place in the last ten days of Ramadan and was the night in which the Qur’an was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Katsina is the home state of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The state has witnessed sporadic attacks by gunmen and kidnappers that have claimed the lives of many.
