Bandits Kill Seven In Separate Attacks on 3 Kaduna LGAs

Within the last 3 days, bandits have killed seven residents of Kaduna state in separate attacks on Chikun, Kajuru, and Giwa Local Government areas of the state.

The unfortunate event was disclosed to the Kaduna government by security agencies noting the bandits shot four abducted persons on the outskirts of Tsohon Gayan general area of Chikun council.

Two of the victims were identified as Solomon Bamaiyi and Francis Moses both from Kakau village of the council. The third victim’s name was not disclosed but was reported to have been from Kachia town while the fourth person remained unidentified.

In Iri Station, Kajuru council, two citizens, Reuben Tanko and Sani Jibrin were also shot dead by a group of bandits.

One Danjuma Alhaji, a native of Tsohon Farakwai of Igabi council was similarly killed by bandits on the outskirts of Galadima general area of Giwa.

The state governor, Nasir el-Rufai has sent condolences to their families and prayed for the repose of their souls.

Meanwhile, security agencies in the state have carried out confidence-building visit to Iri Station, where some citizens were killed and an unspecified number kidnapped.

The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who led the delegation assured the community of the government’s commitment to the security and peace of the general area.
