Katsina Man Changes Daughter’s Name From Buhariyya, Says The President Has Failed (Pictures)
An aggrieved Man from Kastina has expressed his disappointment and dissatisfaction at the worrisome state of the nation under president Muhammadu Buhari.
So deep is the resentment that the man, identified as Yahuza Ibrahim Niga, harboured towards the Buhari administration that he decided to change his daughter’s name whom he had named after the president.
He said the decision to change his daughter’s name from “Buhariyya” to “Kausar” is to demonstrate his level of displeasure and extent of his anger towards Buhari.
Ibrahim, who’s from Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, said Buhari has not fulfilled his election promises.
Speaking at the ‘name-changing ceremony’ held on Friday, July 23, Ibrahim said that during APC election campaign in 2015, he had promised to name his child after Buhari because he believed that the President is an honest and upright man.

His wife, who was pregnant then eventually gave birth to a baby girl and he named her Buhariyya in honour of the President.
According to Ibrahim, he decided to change his daughter’s name to Kausar because President Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, failed to fulfil the promises they made during.
The change of name has also stunted the girl’s education because Ibrahim wanted the name changed before she begins school, a source familiar with the development said.
