Why I Turned Down Invitation To Meet Osinbajo – Sabinus

Popular comedian, content creator and social media influencer, Sabinus aka Mr Funny has revealed why he rejected an invitation to a meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo

Speaking in an interview with Hip Tv, Sabinus revealed the timing of the meeting felt off and wasn’t right.

Recall that on November 2, VP Osinbajo received a delegation of online skitmakers and influencers, which caused a stir on social media, with users accusing the influencers of pursuing their personal interests. Some of the skit makers present at the meeting include Taooma, Josh 2 Funny, Woli Agba, Mr Hyenanana.

In his chat with Hip Tv Sabinus whose real name is Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, revealed he was invited but turned down the invitation because it wasn’t the right time.

He said, “I was invited for it but I don’t think this is the right time for it, truth be told. For a while, we’ve been asking that police brutality be stopped. This is something they’ve been promising us. But right now, it’s still going on,” he said.

“When it comes to campaigns, they come close to talk to us. But when they get into office, they’re far away.

“Then we have to come to them. It’s very wrong. They should come over and fulfill their promises. Going to meet them, for me, is a no.”

Sabinus wasn’t alone in rejecting the application, Mr Macaroni also rejected the invitation because he wasn’t happy with Nigerian leaders.

“The reason I declined is simple. As a citizen, I’m not happy with our leaders and I do not want to associate with them. It’s okay if others believe that sitting with the government will change certain things and decide to try it out. I don’t think they should be crucified for that. Mr Macaroni said,
