Atiku’s 2019 Supporter, Ayabom, Challenges Him For 2023 PDP Ticket
Chief Ovat Ayabom, a former associate and supporter of Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 presidential election has dumped the former vice-president to actualise his own presidential ambition in 2023.
Ayabom formally declared his bid on February 3 with the submission of a letter of interest to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP at the national secretariat.
Ayabom who was escorted by a throng of supporters when he stormed the Wadata Plaza national secretariat of the party affirmed that he is fully ready to contest the party’s primaries, win and overcome the All Progressives Congress, APC in the polling booths in 2023.
Ayabom, who is 41 years old had before now been the director-general, Nigeria Youth Movement for Atiku Abubakar for President 2019/2023.
Ayabom who is currently, the national vice chairman Coalition of Like Minds PDP Support Groups, South-South.
While vowing to use the presidential office to turn around the fortune of Nigerians, the presidential aspirant especially vowed to boost the fortunes of women and youths through skills acquisition to allow them stand on their own as entrepreneurs.
He vowed that 50% of all positions in the Federal Executive Council, FEC would be reserved for youths as a way of giving them a sense of belonging.
According to him if elected to the office of President of Nigeria that the security of all Nigerians would be his watchword especially given present challenges facing Nigerians in the area of insecurity.
He vowed that 100 million Nigerians would be lifted out of poverty within his first year in office.
