Just three players in top-flight European football have scored 30 goals or more across all competitions this season. To add their incredible individual numbers this campaign, those three players have all scored a hat-trick in the UEFA Champions League in 2021-22 and these stats shows just why they are so vital to their team’s success this season. Here are the following players to have hit the 30-goal mark this season.

• Karim Benzema (30 goals):

European giants Real Madrid have been in exquisite form throughout the 2021-22 season and a large part of their success is because of their talismanic Frenchman, Karim Benzema. The striker alongside Vinicius Junior have been an unstoppable duo all season as they have both combined for the most goals this season in the Spanish La Liga, helping Los Blancos to a current 1st placed spot on the table.

Benzema who scored three goals on their way to winning the Spanish Super Cup as well has his amazing hat-trick at the Santiago Bernabeu against Paris Saint Germain in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, has already nudged up a total of 30 goals this season across all competitions as his exploits now see him as a potential Ballon d’Or winner in 2022.

• Sebastien Haller (32 goals):

Ivory Coast international Sebastien Haller has been outstanding all through the 2021-22 season, silencing his doubters following his unsuccessful spell at Premier League side West Ham. The striker has shown his immense goalscoring prowess for Dutch team Ajax both domestically and in Europe.

In the Eridivise, the striker has managed 19 goals in 23 games and has also scored 11 Champions League goals as he sits 2nd on the goalscoring chart just a goal behind Robert Lewandowski. The 27-year-old has enjoyed a season full of records on a personal basis as he broke the record for the most Champions League goals scored in a single campaign by an African player (11), taking the mantle from Liverpool’s Mo Salah.

• Robert Lewandowski (43 goals)

German giants Bayern Munich are enjoying yet another scintillating season of individual brilliance from their number 9 as he continues to lead them in a chase for a second European title in three years. The Poland captain is currently the leading goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League season this season with 12 goals and also in a league of his own in the Bundesliga with 29 goals. Robert Lewandowski is the highest goalscorer in all competitions across Europe’s top-flight leagues this campaign and he is contention for the 2022 Ballon d’Or after missing out last year to Lionel Messi. His record-breaking hat-trick in the Round of 16 of the Champions League against RB Salzburg was yet another feather in his glorious hat.
