The Socialite was detained at the Lagos airport on Thursday, but anti-graft officials kept quiet about it due to pressure from his acquaintances and family, who warned the incident could complicate conditions for others suspected of being involved in the alleged racket.

However, as of Saturday night, it was yet to be confirmed when he would be allowed bail or how much information officials had been able to extract from him.

“The matter is still under investigation,” an anonymous source claimed.

According to Peoples Gazette, the arrest of the Cubana Chief Priest by the EFCC has made it impossible for him to respond to birthday congratulations from his over four million Instagram followers, as only his wife is allowed to see him in custody.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that his associate, Obi Cubana was similarly arrested last year on similar charges, detained him and subsequently set him free. The EFCC has not made any further revelations on the case regarding Obi Cubana before the latest move against the Cubana Chief Priest.

Meanwhile, Ugochukwu Favour- Mayor, producer of   the controversial Nollywood movie,The Priest’s War, otherwise known as ‘The Cathedral’, which caught the attention of the leader of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis, has revealed why he made the movie, saying “it’s a true life story that needs to be documented.”
