Wizkid Bags Best African Artist At 23rd Ghana Music Awards

Nigerian music superstar, Ayo Balogun, better known as Wizkid was last night named Best African Artiste of the Year at the 23rd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

At the two-day award ceremony held at the Accra International Conference Centre, Fameye also took home the ‘Songwriter of the Year’ award for his song ‘praise,’ while MOGBeatz took home the ‘Producer of the Year award.

At the ceremony, Wizkid beat other Nigerian artists including Tems, Ckay, Joeboy, and Fireboy Dml to emerge winner in the category, ‘Artiste of the Year.’

This happens to be the 23rd Ghana Music Awards, as it was founded in 1999.
