AIT Under Fire After Deleting PDP Poll Won By Peter Obi
The African Independent Television (AIT) has continued to come under heavy fire after deleting a Twitter poll where the broadcaster asked users to vote for their preferred PDP aspirant.
As of the time of deletion, former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi was ahead with a massive lead leaving some users to speculate that the poll was removed because Atiku is the favoured aspirant of the Chairman of AIT, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi.

In reaction to the deletion, Nigerians took to social media to call out AIT. Here are some reactions gathered by GreenWhiteGreen
@iyke_nwabuko if you are supporting any presidential candidate in @OfficialPDPNig that is not PeterObi, please don’t do a poll, cos your preferred candidate won’t score up to 10%. you think I’m lying? oya ask @AIT_Online
@VinazConcepts Dear @AIT_Online, Please I want to ask, no offense, why did you delete the poll you voluntarily started? Was High Chief beginning to feel embarrassed that his candidate @atiku was being given a massive knock out by @PeterObi? 10% vs 83%. That was quite a margin! #GiveUsPeterObi
@Mbahkizito It is very disheartening that @AIT_Online will pull down its online vote because its preferred candidate didn’t win, we are observing the handwriting on the wall. @RaymondADokpesi, we are seeing your handiwork. On @PeterObi we stand. #GiveUsPeterObi
@FRNCitizens AIT is swimming against the tide. You can delete the poll because it wasn’t favouring your preferred candidate, but can’t stop the movement. Peter Obi is an idea whose time has come. No amount of conspiracy can stop this momentum.
@BarrTailorson Please, take note that AIT and their paymasters have deleted their online poll putting Peter Obi far ahead of other Presidential candidates. Obi is not popular outside Twitter but he’s giving them sleepless night. #ObiTheFixer
@novieverest So they now delete polls by mistake? Wonderful. AIT deleted, Doctor Funmi deleted. You guys can’t delete Peter Obi though.
