Breaking: Sanwo-Olu Announces Total Ban Of Okada In Six Lagos LGAs

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced the total ban of the operations of commercial motorcycles popularly known as Okada in six Local Government Areas  Lagos State.

Governor Sanwo-Olu made the announcement during a meeting with police chiefs in Lagos saying that the ban would be “indefinite and total.”

The move is coming days after some Okada riders allegedly stabbed and burnt a sound engineer, David Imoh over N100 last Thursday on Admiralty way in Lekki, Lagos

Governor Sanwo-Olu asked the Lagos Police Command and other security agencies to enforce the ban.

The six local governments listed by the Governor are: Ikeja, Surulere, Eti-Osa, Lagos Mainland, Lagos Island and Apapa.
