Reactions As Alleged AGF Fraud Tops N170 Billion

The revelation that total fraud traced to the suspended Accountant General of the Federation, AGF, Ahmed Idris has reached N170 billion following the uncovering of another N90 billion fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has stirred debate on social media.

Idris, while seeking bail had alleged that some top government officials were involved in some transactions.

The commission had also stated that the latest revelation made the alleged money laundering involving Idris, former governor of Zamfara State, Abdul-Azeez Yari, to a total of N170 billion.

Recall that Yari was arrested by operatives of the EFCC at about 5 pm, Sunday evening, and has since been in custody.

The latest development that raised the fraud linked to the AGF to N170 billion by the EFCC has stoked strong reactions from social media users. GWGNG gathered some of the reactions:

All this money, cars, business and housing/ properties, they have been confiscating where is it going to… ?

They have to make proper acct from the year that agency started working ?
