Islamic scholar and Zamfara State Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Tukur Jangebe has revealed that Allah does never accept Sallah rams bought with stolen money.

The scholar made this known on Friday during an interview with The PUNCH while reacting to the trending video of two youths who allegedly stole rams for Sallah celebration.

Sheikh Jangebe stated clearly that Allah does not reward any religious activity which is done with either stolen or looted money.

According to the scholar, “if somebody steals money and buys sacrificial animal for Sallah he will not get any reward for God.”

When asked in what ways can people who are too poor to afford any animal also benefit from the blessings of Sallah, Sheikh Jangebe said ‘God knows their condition.’

He added that those who have the zeal to sacrifice an animal but have no money to do so are known by Allah and as such, He will reward them according to their intention and do not have to buy Sallah ram with stolen money.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that Nigerians are celebrating the Sallah holidays from Saturday through two public holidays declared on Monday and Tuesday by the Federal Government.
