Sokoto S3x Worker Dies In Fight With Researcher Over Payment

A yet-to-be-identified researcher has been apprehended after he allegedly slit the throat of a commercial s3x worker with a knife in Kwanawa, a suburb of the Sokoto metropolis, in the Dange/Shuni Local Government Area of the State.

According to sources in the area which is popular for all sorts of illicit activities, he victim was known to reside in one of the brothels within the area where she was murdered by the researcher.

The source said “it was the alarm raised by the neighbours around the hotel and passers-by that drew the attention of the people that apprehended the suspect when he attempted to run away after discovering that the victim was dead”,

The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sanusi Abubakar, while confirming the incident stated that “the suspect claimed to be a researcher who visited Sokoto State to carry out research.”

Abubakar said “the suspect decided to spend the night with the victim’s brother but said that trouble started when the suspect paid the victim N1,000, the victim rejected the money, which resulted in a fight between them.”

Abubakar noted that the suspect told operatives of the Sokoto State Police Command that the commercial sex worker brought out a knife which he (the suspect) used to stab her after he overpowered her.

Abubakar, however, said the case had been transferred to the homicide section of the Command for proper investigation.
