I Am Happy I Went To Prison – Moses Armstrong, Nollywood Actor Accused Of Rape Speaks

Popular Nollywood actor, Moses Armstrong, who was accused of rape and defiling a minor, has expressed happiness that he went to prison.

Recall that Moses Armstrong, a former aide to Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state, was arrested last month for the alleged rape of a minor he adopted.

Moses Armstrong was charged with rape, intimidation, conspiracy and supplying drugs or instructed to procure abortion. He was sent to prison by the court.

On August 11, a High court in the state granted the Nollywood actor bail.

His friends who came out enmass to welcome him after his release also took to social media to celebrate his release.

In a post shared on his Facebook page on August 16, Armstrong stated that he thank God he went to prison and God went with him.

Moses Armstrong also said that he was not guilty of the crime of rape levelled against him.

Recall that Armstrong lost his wife and colleague, Rita Armstrong in 2018.

Rita, according to reports, died from spinal cord injuries she sustained from an accident.

The mother of two was returning to her husband’s residence in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state from Lagos on Saturday, February 3, 2018.
