International music star, Oladapo Oyebanjo popularly known as D’banj has been released from detention by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC after three days in detention.

The release spares the music star the horror of spending his weekend in the custody of the commission.

GWG.ng reports that the star was released on the condition that he would immediately make himself available should he be needed in the course of further investigation.

D’banj was arrested on Tuesday when he arrived the ICPC headquarters following investigations into allegations of fictitious disbursement of N-power funds.

The musician has denied culpability in the affair saying that he has no connection to public funds.

Meanwhile besides the news that D’banj has been released by the ICPC, GWG.ng reports that operatives of the Police Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested two suspected armed robbers who allegedly attack pedestrians at the Ketu bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

This was contained in a statement posted on Friday on RRS official Twitter handle monitored by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

It identified the arrested suspects as Victor Stephen, 23 and Sunday Michael, 20.

The statement said that the suspects, who were notorious for attacking and dispossessing pedestrians of their valuables, were arrested on Friday.

“They were both arrested around 5:20 a.m. today on the Alausa-Ketu pedestrian Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
