Obidients Regain Their Voice, Trend #RejectTinubu After Obi’s Speech

Days after it appeared as if the vociferous supporters of Peter Obi may have been thrown into disarray, the trenchant supporters popularly referred to as Obidients have rediscovered their voice and are now going after the man they claim robbed their principal of glory with the hashtag #RejectTinubu.

TGWG.ng reports that Obi was credited with third place in the Saturday election after Tinubu and the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

However, the Obidients believe that their man took place in the election and claim that they were robbed of victory through open and cladestine rigging by the two main parties. That is despite the fact that Obi defeated Tinubu in Lagos and topped the polls in 12 states.

After a seeming downtime, the Obidents have rediscovered their voice and are now trending #RejectTinubu. They got their voice back after Peter Obi came out on Thursday to reject the poll and indicate his readiness to fight the declaration of Tinubu as winner in the courts.

The hash tag #rejecttinubu# has begun trending on twitter with over 37,000 tweets.
