Woman Sets New Record For Loudest Belch

Kimberly Winter of Spotsylvania, Virginia, now holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s loudest burp by a woman as her enormous belch is about as loud as a motorcycle at full throttle.

Winter, 33, also known as @Kimycola on TikTok, broke the record on April 28, she told The Post on Wednesday, with a bellowing belch that was 107.3 decibels loud.

That means her belch is louder than a blender (70-80 dB), an electric handheld drill (90-95 dB) and even some motorcycles at full throttle (100-110 dB) according to GWR.

“I had an iced coffee and breakfast sandwich from Dunkin’ and one beer as back up,” Winter told The Post about the meal that helped her ace the attempt.

The previous female record holder, Elisa Cagnoni in Italy, achieved a 107 dB burp in 2009. The male record is held by Neville Sharp of Australia, who did a 112.7 dB burp in 2021.

“I already knew I was loud, I already had the confidence, I just needed to get the right mixture in my belly to produce this world record-breaking burp,” Winter told GWR in a video released Wednesday, adding that she knew she had a good chance at beating the record after getting kicked out of a bar for her booming belch.

“What I do to prepare for a big burp is I just take a deep breath in and try to manipulate that into something monstrous and magical,” she claimed.

GWR required that Winter burp in a “dead room”, something similar to a recording studio, to measure her burp without any outside noise.

So, Winter and the records authority made history at a local Maryland iHeartRadio station, DC101, where she burped live on-air on “Elliot in the Morning.”

“I prepared for the world record attempt by simply taking notes: Eating different combinations, drinking different drinks, just seeing what was going to make me burp the loudest and then simply used that same trick on the radio to break the record,” Winter explained.

“No, it doesn’t hurt at all. It feels really good,” Winter claimed to GWR. “It hurts to hold it in, if I’m being honest.”

Winter told The Post that she is going to celebrate her record “with my fans on TikTok Live and enjoy the weekend with my friends and family with some wrestling and a seafood broil.”
