Chelsea have included Napoli forward Victor Osimhen to their possible list of incomings when the transfer window opens on January 1, 2024.

Despite signing Senegalese forward Nicolas Jackson at the start of the season and still in possession of another striker Armando Broja, Chelsea are in the market for a centre forward and are already monitoring Brentford’s Ivan Toney.

The striker has been on a lengthy ban for breaching FA betting rules and is yet to feature in the 2023/24 season, but he has resumed training with the Bees and will be available for selection come January. However, Chelsea face competition from their London rivals Arsenal who are also looking to sign the 27-year-old England international.

The Blues have now turned their attention towards Super Eagles and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen. It is understood that Chelsea will line up a bid for the striker in January as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Osimhen has failed to sign a new contract with the defending Italian champions and has recently been the cynosure of attention for the wrong reasons after the club posted an inappropriate video on social media about the 24-year-old.

The man who brought back the club’s first Serie A title since 1990 scoring 26 goals and winning the Golden Boot, it seems appears to be falling out of love with Napoli and Chelsea could offer him a lifeline when the window opens in January.
