Wike Vs Fubara: EK Clark Threatens ‘War’ Over Settlement Terms

ABUJA- FORMER Federal Commissioner for  Information and  South-South Leader, Chief Edwin Clark, has rejected what he described as directives issued to Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers  State as the settlement with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike over the political crisis in the state.

Addressing newsmen on Tuesday, Clark said that the terms of settlement between Wike and Fubara were one sided and particularly unacceptable to the Ijaw in Nigeria.

Clark who spoke with newsmen at his Asokoro, Abuja residence described Wike as the architect of the political madness in Rivers State which he said were aimed to tie the hands of Governor Fubara.

GWG.ng reports that a meeting among stakeholders in Rivers State with some leading political actors led by President Bola Tinubu had resolved among others to reverse some of the actions taken in the war between Wike and Fubara as part of a broader settlement.

Clark said that the eight-point resolution was undemocratic, dictatorial, one-sided and aimed at handing over the political leadership of Nyesom Wike.

Clark said that from the terms of the reported settlement between Wike and Fubara, that it was obvious that President Tinubu used his role as a mediator, to once again, show gratitude to the FCT minister for “delivering” Rivers State to him during the last presidential elections.
