VeryDarkMan: Tonto Dikeh Soars As Macho Woman!

Controversial Nollywood actress turned politician Tonto Dikeh has turned her venom on equally controversial social activist, VeryDarkMan, bringing him to police custody in the latest chapter of her eventful journey in social space.

The genesis of this legal showdown follows VeryDarkMan’s criticisms of Tonto Dikeh and Iyabo Ojo concerning their pursuit of justice over the death of the musician, Mohbad last year.

VeryDarkMan had accused the duo of being insincere. On Wednesday, Tonto Dikeh took the battle to VeryDarkMan and shared a picture of the activist on her Instagram page being questioned by the police.

This legal tussle has become a hot topic on social media, provoking a flurry of reactions from both supporters and critics.

This legal clash isn’t the first time Tonto Dikeh has found herself in the midst of a public dispute or bringing celebrities to police detention.

Her tumultuous marriage with businessman Olakunle Churchill, which ended in 2017 after less than two years, became a protracted feud filled with assaults and counter-assaults. Despite their separation, the drama continued, with Tonto often portrayed as the aggressor.

In one instance, Tonto responded vehemently to Churchill’s birthday wish for their son, launching a barrage that saw her name him a “deadbeat dad” and referring to him as a mere “sperm donor”. Churchill’s legal team fired back with a “cease and desist” letter, demanding an apology or the prospect of a lawsuit. The divorced couple’s feud has seen them in and out of court, with Churchill filing a N500 million suit in 2020 and issuing threats of legal action in 2019.

In 2021, Tonto Dikeh engaged in messy fights, both online and in real-time, with her ex-lover Prince Kpokpogri, leading to his arrest and detention in Abuja. As an actress who has faced off with three men in various intense situations, Tonto Dikeh’s journey remains a captivating narrative of resilience and confrontation against a backdrop of public scrutiny.
