How New Wife Saved Husband During Lion Attack On Couple (Video)

A young couple is currently recovering in the hospital after surviving a terrifying encounter with a lion in the forests of Isiolo, Kenya

Michael Apaiyu bravely recounted the harrowing ordeal, revealing that the attack occurred while they were taking a leisurely walk in the forest. Suddenly, without warning, the lion lunged at them, catching Apaiyu off guard and inflicting severe injuries on his hands, legs, ribs, and back.

In a selfless act of survival, Apaiyu’s wife, who was walking behind him, quickly sprang into action, diverting the lion’s attention away from her husband by running ahead. This left Apaiyu vulnerable to the predator’s attack, as he found himself face-to-face with the ferocious animal.

As the lion pounced on him and began scratching him mercilessly, Apaiyu urgently called out to his wife for assistance. In a moment of quick thinking, she passed him a machete, enabling him to fend off the lion’s onslaught and protect himself.

However, the lion’s aggression did not cease, as it turned its fury towards Apaiyu’s wife, sinking its teeth into her legs and causing further injury. Despite their valiant efforts to defend themselves, the couple found themselves locked in a life-and-death struggle with the powerful predator.

After what felt like an eternity of battling the lion, the couple’s perseverance paid off as the predator eventually retreated into the depths of the bush, leaving them shaken but alive.
