Protest Rocks Ibadan Over High Cost Of Living

Protest erupted in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Monday morning as residents took to the street to protest the high cost of living and the crumbing economy.

The protesters gathered around the Mokola area in the state wielding placards with various inscriptions such as ‘End food hike and inflation,’ ‘The poor are starving,’ and ‘Tinubu, don’t forget your promises,’ among others.

They also showed their grievances by chanting songs.

The protesters held the peaceful rally against the economic hardship in the land occasioned by the removal of the petrol subsidy even in the midst of armed policemen.
