Air Peace Doubles Domestic Airfares, Slashes Lagos-London Ticket

Air Peace has captured headlines with its announcement, heralding a new era of affordability in air travel with a reduced airfare to London but at the same time doubled the airfare for domestic routes.

Effective from March 30, 2024, the airline is offering return economy class tickets to London at an unprecedented price of N1.2 million, with business class tickets available at N4 million. This monumental reduction in fares marks a significant departure from the previous costs, which often exceeded N2.3 million for economy and up to N6 million for business class, making air travel to London more accessible to Nigerians than ever before.

The announcement, delivered by Air Peace’s Corporate Communications Lead, Mr. Stanley Olisa, in Lagos, reflects the airline’s unwavering commitment to making air travel more accessible and affordable for Nigerians. Particularly noteworthy is the special 15 percent rebate on economy fares for students studying in the United Kingdom, aimed at easing the financial burden on Nigerian students abroad and providing them with a more affordable means of traveling between Nigeria and the UK.

This reduction in fares comes just in time for Air Peace’s eagerly anticipated launch of its daily route from Nigeria to London on March 30. Utilizing Boeing 777 and 787 Dreamliner aircraft, this new service not only signifies the airline’s expanding international presence but also reflects its strategic vision to enhance connectivity and affordability for Nigerian travelers. The decision to slash fares underscores Air Peace’s commitment to prioritizing the needs and financial well-being of its passengers.

GWG.ng reports that the bold initiative has, however, come as Air Peace has raised the fare on domestic routes by more than 100%.
