Nigerian disc jockey, Florence Otedola, known as DJ Cuppy has confidently shared a revelation about her past relationships, boasting about footing the bills on dates.

The 30-year-old billionaire heiress made it clear that her ex-boyfriends never crossed paths with her because they couldn’t afford the places she frequents without her.

In an Instagram post featuring herself in a luxurious car, DJ Cuppy boldly proclaimed, “I never run into my exes… They can’t afford to be where I am without me.”

However, her statement didn’t sit well with her estranged fiancé, Ryan Taylor, who retorted in the comment section, “Neither can you.”

The couple parted ways in July, just seven months after their surprising engagement in November 2022. Cuppy confirmed her relationship with Taylor in December 2022, following a viral video suggesting a marriage proposal. Their engagement came swiftly, after only 25 days of knowing each other.

But whispers began circulating online when DJ Cuppy stopped wearing her engagement ring and ceased flaunting her relationship on social media. Reports surfaced that Cuppy and Ryan had even unfollowed each other.

Expressing her sadness on Instagram, Cuppy acknowledged that despite their shared history, they had become “strangers” once more. She wrote on her Instagram story, “And after all this, we’ve gone back to being strangers.”

Cuppy revealed that she is no longer engaged, yet remains hopeful about the future. Reflecting on her journey, she shared, “Now I can stand here and tell you how unpredictable my life has been despite being from a privileged background.”

She recounted her ventures, including a failed jewelry line at 28 and nearly failing a class at the University of Oxford at 29. Cuppy acknowledged the rollercoaster of her love life, stating, “Perhaps a cherry on top, last year I got engaged, and I am no longer engaged, but such is life, and I know my story is still happening, and there is more to come, and I am okay with the uncertainties.”

DJ Cuppy, daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, began her career in 2014 as the resident DJ at the MTV Africa Music Awards. She is also an artist with popular songs like ‘Gelato’, ‘Green Light’, ‘Vybe’, and ‘Currency’.
