Ossai Ovie Success, an aide to the governor of Delta State, has stirred controversy with his critique of the pre-wedding photos of gospel artiste Theophilus Sunday.

Taking to Facebook, Ossai expressed disapproval of the poses struck by Theophilus and his fiancée, arguing that they convey immorality and send a negative message to the public.

In his post, Ossai condemned the act of holding a woman who is not one’s wife by the waist, deeming it both taboo and immoral within traditional and Christian contexts. He admonished Theophilus, asserting that such actions tarnish his reputation as a minister of God and propagate immorality.

The post garnered attention and sparked debate among social media users, with many weighing in on the perceived appropriateness of the pre-wedding photos. Ossai’s critique prompted reflection on the intersection of personal conduct, religious values, and public image, stirring varied reactions from online audiences.

GWG.ng reports that the criticisms of the pre-wedding photos of Theophilus Sunday had been followed by another broader criticism by some who accused him of following other successful Nigerian gospel artistes in choosing thier marital partners from outside Nigeria.

Just as he was mum on the criticism of choosing a wife from outside Nigeria, Theophilus Sunday is not expected to respond to the criticism on his pre-wedding photos.
