World 100m hurdles champion, Tobi Amusan captivated the crowd at the All African Games when she served as anchor in the 4×100 meters women’s relay to power the Nigerian quartet to an amazing first position putting to light why she is called a monster on the tracks.

GWG.ng reports that the victory of the Nigerian ladies helped the country to make a clean sweep of the 4×100 relays as the Nigerian men also won the gold medal in that event.

The victory of the Nigerian ladies came a few minutes after Amusan the world record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles powered home to win the gold medal in that event.

The 4x100m women’s relay team of Nigeria comprising of Justina Eyakpobeyan, Olajide Olayinka, and Fore Abinusawa and Tobi Amusan had emerged as the second fastest finishers in the qualification before the finals and were faced with stiff competition from Liberia and Ghana.

However, as the race opened Liberia and Ghana appeared to be struggling for the first position until the baton was passed on to Fore Abinusawa who quickly put Nigeria marginally in the first place.

However, when she passed on the baton to Tobi Amusan, the world record hurdler quickly stamped her authority in the race as she quickly put a distance between herself and the rest of the relay pack stamping her authority as the monster on the tracks.
