Kano State Assembly Confirms Kwankwaso’s Son As Commissioner

The Kano Assembly has confirmed Mustafa Rabiu-Kwankwaso and three other individuals as commissioners.

On Tuesday, the Kano State House of Assembly reviewed and approved four nominees chosen by Governor Abba Kabir-Yusuf to serve as commissioners.

Those confirmed are: Mustafa Rabi’u-Kwankwaso, Adamu Aliyu-Kibiya, Abduljabar Garko and Shehu Aliyu-Yanmedi.

GWG.ng reports that Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf had written to the state assembly, seeking the approval of the creation of four new ministries.

The governor in a letter read in the plenary by the Speaker, Jibrin Falgore, requested the creation of four new ministries to improve the development of the state and its growing needs.

Falgore said that the proposed ministries were the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs; Power and Renewable Energy; Internal Security and Solid Minerals.

In another letter, the governor requested to approve the dissolution of the boards of assembly commission with the appointment of new members.
