A Nigerian man at the center of a controversy involving gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey and singer Mercy Chinwo’s son has refused to apologize, asserting that he merely expressed an opinion, which he believes is within his rights.

The man, among several internet users who suggested similarities between Mercy Chinwo’s son and Nathaniel Bassey, found himself facing legal action from the gospel singer.

While some individuals involved in the matter have expressed regret, this particular individual maintains that he did not commit any offense warranting an apology.

According to him, he simply shared an opinion that he believes many Nigerians share, as evidenced by the widespread discussion surrounding the issue.

The man clarified that he did not advocate for a DNA test, unlike others involved in the controversy, but merely remarked on the perceived resemblance between the baby’s face and Nathaniel Bassey.

Additionally, he emphasized that he was not the one who initially shared the pictures online, but like many others, he offered his perspective on the matter.
