Prominent Nigerian Who Condemned Bobrisky’s Arrest Comes Under Social Media Fire

Former Chairman of the Nigerian National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Professor Chidi Anselm Odinkalu, has come under fire following his comment on Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC’s) arrest of Crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky.
Recall that on Thursday, the internet was set agog after the EFCC arrested Bobrisky for offences bordering on abuse of the naira, spraying of naira notes, and currency mutilation.
Reacting to this development, Professor Chidi took to his official X account on Thursday stating, “Yesterday, @NigeriaGov & @NERCNG hiked energy beyond the reach of most #Nigerians.
“Today, @officialEFCC orchestrates a lynching of #Bobrisky. Ppl who can no longer afford electricity are hailing them because, apparently Bobby is responsible for their poverty.”
However, the Professor’s comment didn’t go down well with a huge section of Nigerians on social media. See their reactions below:
