Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN has revealed that the association is exploring legal action against Adanma Luke, producer of the movie that resulted in the tragic deaths of Junior Pope and four others.

Speaking on Arise TV on April 19, Rollas stated that the guild’s lawyers are preparing documents for a potential court case, citing that the matter is “actionable.”

The incident occurred when Junior Pope and four members of the cast and crew were involved in a fatal boat accident while traveling to a movie location in Anambra State.

Besides the alleged issues that may be raised by the AGN probe, Adanma Luke has faced criticism from some quarters for allegedly failing to provide enough cover for the passengers before embarking on the ill-fated journey.

The AGN is seeking justice for the victims and their families, and a legal case against Adanma Luke may be imminent. Rollas’ statement suggests that the guild is taking a strong stance on the matter, holding the producer accountable for the tragic events that unfolded.

GWG.ng reports that this development comes as the entertainment industry continues to mourn the loss of talented individuals who died in the accident. The outcome of the potential legal case will be closely watched, as it may set a precedent for future incidents involving negligence and accountability in the industry.
