Wike Confers Abuja Citizenship On Senegalese President

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Nyesom Wike has conferred on President of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, the honorary citizenship of Abuja which allows him access to the city.

Gwg.ng reports that Mr. Wike performed the ceremony while welcoming the Senegalese President on his arrival at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on behalf of President Bola Tinubu.

According to the Minister, the honorary citizenship confers on President Faye all the rights and privileges of a citizen.

It serves also as a mark of respect for the strong friendship and cordial relationship between Nigeria and Senegal.
