How Kidnapped Fouani Brothers, Sole Distributors Of LG Products Were Rescued

The Lagos Marine Police, in collaboration with the Nigerian Navy, successfully rescued Abbas, Youssef, and Amtal Fouani, three brothers who were abducted on June 14.

The incident occurred around 6 pm as they were returning from their Apapa factory to Victoria Island.

Alongside the brothers, the boat crew was also kidnapped. The Fouani brothers are known for managing Fouani Nigeria Ltd, an electronics distribution firm.

The rescue operation took place at Orugbo Iddo, where the brothers, the boat driver, and his assistant were recovered.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, credited the efforts of the Marine Police and Nigerian Navy for the successful operation.

He stated, “They were rescued late last night in Orugbo Iddo. Our marine police, with the support of the Nigerian Navy, brought them to shore.”

GWG.ng reports that the Fouani brothers are the sole distributors of LG and Hisense products in Nigeria.
