A young security guard, who was wrongly accused of stealing a car just three days into his new job, has finally regained his freedom after spending four years in prison.

In a heart-wrenching video circulating on social media, the man from Ilorin recounted his ordeal, explaining how he was arrested and charged with theft despite his protests of innocence. He had just started working as a security guard in Ibadan when a car was stolen, and he was mistakenly identified as the culprit.

The video showed the man, clearly shaken but relieved, being helped by passersby to find his way back to Ilorin from Ibadan, as he had lost his bearings after his prolonged incarceration.
