Anioma Traditional Rulers Unanimously Support Creation of Anioma State

The Anioma Traditional Rulers Forum has declared its unwavering support for the creation of Anioma State, emphasizing the need for a more collaborative approach to achieve this goal.

In a 5-point communiqué issued after an interactive session with Senator Ned Nwoko, the Royal Fathers commended the Senator’s quality representation and progress made so far.

The Forum, comprising Traditional Rulers from various Kingdoms in Delta North senatorial District, urged Senator Nwoko to engage with other critical stakeholders to accommodate diverse opinions and foster a united front. They reaffirmed their unity and commitment to supporting the quest for Anioma State.

Senator Nwoko briefed the Monarchs on his Senate activities, highlighting his efforts to advance the state creation process and his engagement with federal authorities and fellow lawmakers. He emphasized the potential of Anioma State to catalyze economic growth, enhance political representation, and drive inclusive socio-economic transformation.

The interactive session, chaired by the Obi of Abavo Kingdom, Uche Irenuma 11, was attended by Traditional Rulers from across Delta North. The Monarchs commended Senator Nwoko’s role in securing the release of the Monarch of Ewu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Clement Oghenerukvwe Ikolo, from detention.
