Nigerian pastor, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), has officially forgiven the controversial former security guards turned dancers, Happie Boys, lifting the curse he previously placed on them.

The reconciliation comes after a long-standing public fallout between the Happie Boys, Matthew Precious Kelechi and Amakor Johnson, and Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere who had served as benefactors to them.

In 2022, the duo gained viral fame after being fired from their security jobs at Chicken Republic, only to receive the generosity of Apostle Chibuzor, who sponsored their education abroad. However, the relationship soured, resulting in their deportation from Cyprus and a return to difficult circumstances.

After months of tension, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere took to his official Facebook page on September 7, 2024, to announce that he has forgiven the Happie Boys and lifted the curse that once prevented others from helping them.

In his statement, Apostle Chibuzor wrote:

“Today 7 September 2024. I HRM KING APOSTLE CHIBUZOR GIFT CHINYERE, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry OPM, hereby forgive Happie Boys and I also release them from every curse I placed upon their life and destiny because of JESUS CHRIST. They still remain my children. From today, anyone that helps Happie Boys will not inherit their curses.”

The announcement has brought relief to the Happie Boys, who have been struggling to rebuild their lives after their fallout with the pastor. Apostle Chibuzor’s gesture of forgiveness signals a fresh start for the former dancers as they seek to turn a new leaf and move forward from the controversy.

This latest development has generated reactions across social media, with many praising the pastor’s decision to forgive and release them from the spiritual burden.
