Verydarkman Begs Falz: Your Father Is My Father Father!

Activist Verydarkman seems to be softening his stance in the ongoing conflict with Nigerian singer Falz.

The activist took to Instagram to clear the air, addressing Falz directly and expressing a desire to focus on bigger issues affecting the country rather than continuing their personal feud.

In his post dedicated to Falz, Verydarkman wrote:

“@falzthebahdguy if you see the nonzenze when Dey go on here you go drop lawsuit make we focus on the bad eggs when wan kpai country, them don dey cast themselves here? Don’t get it twisted, your father na my father in the struggle. If you were here, you will understand. I no go defame baba. Bless up, MAN TO MAN GOD BLESS YOU.”

He added in his caption:

“I wish everyone is here to see how bad corruption has eaten deep into our system. @falzthebahdguy it’s not about us, na FCC AND CORRECTIONAL CENTRE. YOUR FATHER FEMI FALANA REMAINS OUR FATHER.”

This public statement comes after Falz sued Verydarkman for defamation following the release of an alleged audio tape implicating popular internet personality Bobrisky. In the tape, Verydarkman insinuated that Falz had convinced his father, Femi Falana, a renowned human rights lawyer, to accept a bribe from Bobrisky to aid in evading charges from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Verydarkman’s earlier claims sparked widespread controversy, leading to Falz filing a lawsuit to protect his reputation. However, this recent Instagram post signals a potential de-escalation, with Verydarkman reaffirming his respect for Falana and the struggle against corruption.

Earlier reports also revealed that Verydarkman had been invited to the House of Representatives to address some of the allegations, particularly regarding his claims about Bobrisky.

This year has been turbulent for Verydarkman, whose activism has placed him at odds with various Nigerian authorities. Earlier in the year, he had clashed with the Nigerian police after accusing top officials of having inappropriate relations with Bobrisky, leading to his arrest and brief detention. Shortly after, Bobrisky himself was arrested on separate charges related to currency mutilation.

As the saga continues to unfold, netizens are left wondering if this public truce will mark the end of the feud between Verydarkman and Falz, or if further legal action will follow. For now, Verydarkman seems intent on refocusing his attention on the larger issue of corruption in Nigeria.
