Bobrisky charges

Controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, was taken to the Police Hospital in Falomo, Lagos, on Wednesday after complaining of pain in her or his breasts. This happened shortly after he spent several hours in a cell at the Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Alagbon, Lagos.

According to police sources who spoke with Vanguard, Bobrisky was transported to the hospital around 2 p.m. following his complaints of discomfort. While it was initially believed to be a health issue, a police source suggested that the hospital visit might have been planned strategically.

There was speculation that the visit to the hospital was timed to coincide with plans to transfer Bobrisky to the Special Fraud Unit (SFU) in Lagos. Some believe that the medical complaint might have been used as a reason to manage the transfer with less public attention.

“They were concerned about avoiding public attention, so they sent for a police ambulance with the number plate LLD339LP,” one source explained.

Another source mentioned that Bobrisky had complained loudly about pain in her or his “breast,” which led to the decision to take him to the Police Hospital before moving him to the SFU. This happened after the Commissioner of Police in charge of SFU visited to oversee the transfer.

Before being placed in the cell, Bobrisky was kept away from other inmates in a separate area, with two armed officers assigned to guard him or her. The police source further mentioned that these officers stayed with him until he was taken out and placed in the ambulance for transport to the hospital.

When approached in the ambulance and asked for his or her name, Bobrisky identified herself or himself with the male name, Idris. During the ambulance ride, a female nurse and a fully armed police officer were there to guard her or him, and she or he was placed on a stretcher.
